For instance, in the song <strong>&#8220;Law Fi Hayaty&#8221;<\/strong> by <strong>Amr Mostafa<\/strong>, the lyric says: <em>&#8220;Who could ever keep us apart?&#8221;<\/em> To me, this reflects how words can shape expectations and emotions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another example is simply renaming working hours as a <strong>journey<\/strong>, as if you&#8217;re traveling. Changing the label can change the way you experience the same reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But let&#8217;s take a more familiar example: the word <strong>&#8220;divorce.&#8221;<\/strong> In Islamic jurisprudence, repeating the divorce formula can have serious legal consequences for a marriage. Just think about it\u2014a spoken word alone can, under specific legal conditions, change the status of a husband and wife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Can you tell me that divorce is not an example of the power of words, but merely a description of a state?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;d say no. If it weren&#8217;t an example of the power of words, then a husband and wife who stayed apart for three months because they were both angry would automatically be considered divorced. But divorce, in this context, lies in the power of the spoken word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And who says thoughts have power? Consider this hadith:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;I am as My servant thinks of Me.
