True Repentance with Repeated Sin
Someone might think: How can I truly repent when I know for sure I will repeat the sin as long as I’m alive?
The idea here is: you think this way because you assume you have a long life ahead.
But if you think that you might die right now, say: I’m giving up the sin right now, and if I die, I want to die pure.
And this, of course, helps you become one of the righteous easily.
“And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a Paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the righteous – (133)
Those who spend [in the cause of Allah] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people – and Allah loves the doers of good; (134)
And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins – and who can forgive sins except Allah? – and [who] do not persist in what they have done while they know. (135)
Those – their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens beneath which rivers flow [in Paradise], wherein they will abide eternally. And excellent is the reward of the [righteous] workers.” (136)
[Surah Aal-Imran 3:133–136, Translation: King Fahd Complex]
And once you become one of the righteous, you will have 5,000 angels at your service.
“[Remember] when you said to the believers, ‘Is it not sufficient for you that your Lord should reinforce you with three thousand angels sent down?’ (124)
Yes, if you remain patient and conscious of Allah and the enemy comes upon you attacking in rage, your Lord will reinforce you with five thousand angels having marks [of distinction].” (125)
[Surah Aal-Imran 3:124–125, Translation: King Fahd Complex]
