{وَأَنْكِحُوا الْأَيَامَىٰ مِنْكُمْ وَالصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ عِبَادِكُمْ وَإِمَائِكُمْ إِنْ يَكُونُوا فُقَرَاءَ يُغْنِهِمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ وَاللَّهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ}
ويقول عمر بن الخطاب: عجباً لمن لم يلتمس الغنى في النكاح، والله يقول: {إِنْ يَكُونُوا فُقَرَاءَ يُغْنِهِمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِه}
{والله يَقْبِضُ وَيَبْسُطُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ}
{فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا (10) وَيُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ أَنْهَارًا}
{وَأَنِ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوا إِلَيْهِ يُمَتِّعْكُم مَّتَاعًا حَسَنًا إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى وَيُؤْتِ كُلَّ ذِي فَضْلٍ فَضْلَهُ}
{وَمَن يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُ مَخْرَجًا وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ ۚ وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَالِغُ أَمْرِهِ ۚ}
{مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنثَىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَنُحْيِيَنَّهُ حَيَاةً طَيِّبَةً ۖ وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْرَهُم بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ}

Research on Wealth in Islam
Moving from Poverty to Breadth in Rizq to Wealth to Abundance in Rizq to Prosperity … through Religion
Breadth in Rizq
“Whoever would like his provision to be increased and his lifespan to be extended, let him uphold his ties of kinship.”
Sahih al-Bukhari 5986, Sahih Muslim 2557
Call your relatives by phone. If they are sick or have a problem, visit and support them — visits in such cases are an obligation.
The relatives whose visits are obligatory and nearest: parents, grandparents, children and their children, then closer relatives like siblings and their children, paternal uncles/aunts and their children, maternal uncles/aunts and their children.
Wealth (Self-Sufficiency)
There are two ways to become wealthy: — This is a promise from Allah to enrich whoever seeks marriage and guards chastity.
Translation (Saheeh International):
“And let those who find not the means for marriage keep themselves chaste until Allah enriches them from His bounty.”
Surah An-Nur (24:33)
Interpretation: A noble promise from Allah to those who long to marry but can’t afford it — He will provide for them when they obey His commands and hold to chastity.
Another promise from Allah for those who can’t wait and wish to marry: marry — and Allah will enrich you.
Translation (Saheeh International):
“And marry the unmarried among you and the righteous among your male slaves and female slaves. If they should be poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty, and Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.”
Surah An-Nur (24:32)
Umar ibn al-Khattab said:
“I am amazed by those who do not seek richness through marriage, when Allah says: {If they are poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty}.”
Abundance in Rizq
Two ways:
1. Frequently remembering death
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Increase remembrance of the destroyer of pleasures: death. For no servant remembers it in hardship except that it makes it easier, and no one remembers it in ease except that it constricts it.”
Sahih Ibn Hibban 2984, authenticated by Al-Albani
Interpretation: Remembering death in hardship brings comfort, because it reminds one that troubles are temporary. Remembering it in times of ease prevents arrogance and awakens accountability.
2. Traveling with the intention to earn for marriage, parents, or children
Narrated Kaʿb ibn ʿUjrah (RA): The Prophet ﷺ said:
“If he goes out to strive for his small children, he is in the path of Allah. If he strives for his aged parents, he is in the path of Allah. If he strives to support himself and preserve his dignity, he is in the path of Allah. But if he goes out to show off or for pride, he is in the path of Shaytan.”
Reported by Al-Tabarani; graded authentic by Al-Albani
Qur’an:
Translation (Saheeh International):
“And whoever emigrates for the cause of Allah will find on the earth many [alternative] locations and abundance.”
Surah An-Nisa (4:100)
Prosperity (Wealth)
Giving zakah and charity consistently — and the greater the charity, the greater the material and spiritual return:
Translation (Saheeh International):
“Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over?”
Surah Al-Baqarah (2:245)
“And this corresponds to the pound that circulates as charity and turns — through the number of Muslims — into sustenance for each one of them, like a ‘domino effect’. Refer to the article.”
Sha’rawi’s explanation:
Though charity appears to reduce wealth, Allah multiplies it — this relates to:
{Allah withholds and grants abundance… and to Him you will return}
Surah Al-Baqarah (2:245)
Translation (Saheeh International):
“Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allah and establish prayer and spend out of what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, can expect a profit that will never perish.”
“That He may give them in full their rewards and increase for them of His bounty. Indeed, He is Forgiving and Appreciative.”
Surah Fatir (35:29–30)
The final stage of provision (rizq) — which is the peak of الخير (goodness) — is receiving without حساب (limit or measure). There are two types of people whose reward is given without حساب:
The patient ones (الصابرين): As mentioned in the verse: “Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without حساب.” And the Prophet said: “Your supplication will be answered as long as you do not دعا بإثم (ask for something sinful) or قطع رحم (cut family ties), and as long as you do not become impatient.” They asked: “O Messenger of Allah, what does impatience mean?” He said: “When a person says: ‘I دعا (made supplication) again and again but I did not see a response,’ so he becomes frustrated and stops making الدعاء.” In another narration: “No Muslim makes a supplication — without sin or قطع رحم — except that Allah gives him one of three things: Either He answers it quickly in this الدنيا (world), Or He stores it for him in the الآخرة (hereafter), Or He removes from him an equivalent harm.” They said: “Then we will increase in supplication!” He said: “Allah has even more to give.”
Those whom Allah chooses (يرزق من يشاء): Meaning those who have a strong connection with Allah. As in the verse: “He provides for whom He wills without حساب.” And: “Call upon Me; I will respond to you.” So whether you are from the first or the second, you can receive رزق without حساب. But how does this رزق begin to come? Through the verse: “You will never attain righteousness (البر) until you spend from that which you love.” So the difference is clear: The one who strives and builds a strong connection with Allah receives provision quickly and without حساب. But the one who only makes supplication (du‘ā’) and remains patient has three possible outcomes, as mentioned above.
Verses and Hadiths for Reflection
“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.”

Hadith:
“Give charity early in the morning, for no calamity passes it.”
Al-Bayhaqi – authenticated by Al-Albani (Sahih al-Targhib 872)
Abu Huraira! Be pious and you will be the most devoted of people. Be content with what Allah has allotted for you and you will be the richest of people. Love for the Muslims and believers what you love for yourself and your family, and hate for them what you hate for yourself and your family, and you will be a believer. Behave well with your neighbor and you will be a Muslim. And beware of much laughter, for much laughter deadens the heart.”
— Narrated by Abu Huraira
